I know it is a little late to post a TBR, but I had my list of books that I was planning on reading for the month of November. Somehow I made my November a really busy. Then my November has become crazy with a lack of inspiration. I know that everyone is feeling the shock of Trump being the US President-elect, but for me, there is some strange land of hope with all the protests that are happening around my area.
Let me get back on track and focus on Books. October was a decent month of reading. I did not get all that I hope and dreamed of reading. Which is sad, but the books that I did read I enjoyed. There was a few book that did weird me out. The book that I did read was:
The Midnight Horse – this was a book that we were reading in the classroom. It sounds interesting, but the book is boring. I am hoping that we will not read it again next year. Don’t get me wrong. The book wasn’t bad, it was just boring and uneventful. I ended up giving this book two out of five stars on Goodreads.
Saga Vol. 5 – I had to finish this book before I turned it into the library. I did give this book four out of five stars on Goodreads. I still do not know what to make of the series. The artwork is beautiful.
Becasue of Mr. Terupt – I was using this book to help me control my math group for one of my jobs. It was working until the end when the kids lost interest because they decided to get the book at the library themselves and read ahead. I gave this book five out of five stars on Goodreads. This is a beautifully well-written book. I do recommend this book to everyone, especially to those who want to share a wonderful and magical book with a young person in their life.
The Doll Grave Yard – This book was creepy and good at the same time. I am so glad that I read it. I do have plans on writing a full review soon.
Two Bad Mice, Mr. Jeremy Fisher, and Benjamin Bunny – I do not know what to say. I guess that I had such high expectation from these books and to say that I am shocked is a bit of an understatement. Most of the shock I realize comes from the fact that the cultural difference between the early 1900’s and now. There are so many things that I am having a hard time seeing being okay in today’s world. Some of these books were also slow and bit farfetched.

Now onto my November TBR. Please understand that I made this list in the beginning of this month, and some of these books I have read. In addition to finishing my October challenge, I will also try to complete my November challenge. The challenge for November is to read a book chosen for you by your spouse, partner, sibling, child, or BFF. I hope boss works here because I chose to read The Outsiders. It is a book she is trying to get our kids interested to be reading in class. Now onto my TBR list for November.
- MacBeth – October Challenge
- Magnus Chase and the Hammer of Thor – finished
- The Dragon Rider – finished
- The Neptune Project – I have started
- The Outsiders – November Challenge
Ontop of that do have a readathon that I am planning on doing this month. Gobble-up-Books Readathon is taking place November 23 to November 27. It is around America’s Thanksgiving. I will be posting more information about the readathon in the comming week.
That is it for this wrap-up and TBR. I do hope that you enjoyed post and that your weekend has been a good one filled with adventure and fun.
