Intergalactic Book Tag

The questions:
1. Space: Name a book that is out of this world – that takes place in a world different from our own.

Saving Mars by Cindy Swanson – I know that I am cheating with this book, but I loved this stellar book. In addition, most of this book takes place in space, not on Earth.

2. Black Hole: Name a book that completely sucked you in.

A book that has sucked me in was More Than This by Patrick Ness. I remember reading it during Booktubeathon and all I wanted to do was to continue reading it. Forget work and responsibilities, let’s just read!

3. Lightspeed: Name a book you are anticipating so much that you wish you could travel at lightspeed to get to it.

The main book that I am anticipating this year is The Hammer of Thor, the second book in the Magnus Chase series by Rick Riordan. As it stands, I am already thinking about preordering the third book. I love this series and I am looking forward to getting back to some awesome characters.

4. Nebula: Name a book with a beautiful cover.

Image result for tales of the peculiarI am not sure what to choose. I believe that all covers are beautiful in their own way. However, I will choose Tales of the Peculiars by Ranson Riggs. I just love the simplicity and elegance of the cover.

5. Multiverse: Name a companion set or spinoff series you love.

For this, I would go with the Explorer graphic series. Even though they all claim to be part of a series, they are just companions to each other that explore different questions and ideas. I loved most of the stories and the artwork in phenomenal.

6. Gravity: Name your favorite romantic pairing that seems to have a gravitational pull to each other.

Trust me I am laughing internally with all the puns that are through my head. The one pair that stood out to me for this category was Cinder and Kai from the Lunar Chronicles. Right now they not only have a literal but a physical attraction to each other. To be fair, I have been rooting for these two love birds for quite some time now.

7. The Big Bang: Name the book that got you started on reading.

There are two books that have this title. the first one being Anne of Green Gable and the second one is The Chess Garden. I have explained both in a previous post long ago. You can click on the link here

8. Asteroid: Name a short story or novella that you love.

I have two. The Strike of the Christmas Toys by Mary Lee Stanley and Cian’s Apples by Brian L. Lee. Both of these short stories were the first purchases that I have made with my Nook and they have stuck with me ever since.

9. Galaxy: Name a book with multiple POVs.

I will have to say  the Heroes of Olympus, by Rick Riordan, was one of my favorite multiple POV books that I have read. The style worked really well with the book and I loved how it did not slow down or deter from the reading.

10. Spaceship: Name a book title that would be a great name for a spaceship.

The three somewhat recent books that I have read that I believe would make a great ship name would be Wonder, Everland, and Ember. I am tied between Everland and Ember. On one hand, I would like Everland to be a ship name because it would be cool to have a lost boy feel, and be a part of a crew that can call themselves “The Lost Crew.” I would need someone who would be willing to call themselves Peter in this case. However, Ember would be cool to have as a ship name because it would represent hope and light in a dark vast place. I have not read the book, but I have read the graphic novel, and I did love the graphic novel.

That my friends is the Intergalactic Book Tag. I definitely would love your opinion on what book title would be a great name for a spaceship. You are also free to do this tag as well. I am interested to see your answers to these categories.

I am hoping that you will get to see a lot more of me in the next few weeks. I am planning on getting a lot more reviews done, as well as finishing a couple of unfinished posts. The last few weeks have been a bit crazy with my grandma being in and out of the hospital, my car being in the repair shop, and starting classes as well as balancing several jobs. Definitely a bit crazy.

Until next time. Happy reading!
