About me

Hello! I am Super Bookworm and I am glad and excited that you are visiting my blog. I know you clicked on the About Me link to learn more about me, so let’s get started.

First off, I live in American Canyon, California. That is about an hour north of San Francisco and 30 minutes south of Napa. Before anyone asks, No I don’t know much about wine (and yes I do get asked a lot of wine questions since I have been living here).  I was born on July 3, 1989. I have a BA in Liberal Studies/Education. Liberal studies meaning a jack of all trades.  I also spent some time studying to be a teacher. Right now I work as a one on one instructional aid as well as a Sylvan tutor working on math, reading, writing homework, as well as sometimes running a few camps.

Let’s Just say I love to read books and decided that I should start a blog. The main purpose of this blog was to keep track of my experience of Booktube-a-thon in 2013, but I have decided to continue it after that experience. I enjoyed sharing the books that I am reading as well as doing a few book tags. My plan is to make a post every Saturday, or any day around that.

Hope to be seeing you soon. Happy Reading!

  1. “Thank you so much for your nomination. I am sorry to see that you deleted your blog.”

I don’t know why, but I thought that was really funny. Because if the blogs deleted, who are you talking to? Hahaha, if you intended for this to be funny, you have an awesome sense of humor.

      • Would you review my book?

Title: The Water Travelers: Heir of the Unknown (Book 1 of 7)

        Genre: YA/Fiction/Fantasy/Romance

Bio: The people of Upitar have the ability to go back forth between their world and Earth, through water. Aaron Archien is the heir to the throne of Upitar, and before his father feels he is ready to become king, he is given one last task: go to Earth, find the daughter of Michael Harper, bring her to Upitar, and kill her. The girl, Madalyne Harper, was prophesied about long ago to destroy the waterways, thus ending the world of Upitar. Although against the idea of taking an innocent life, Aaron agrees to do it for the sake of his people. But, upon going to Earth, he unknowingly meets Madalyne and they fall in love before their fates become known.

The book is available on multiple platforms as well. (IE: Smashwords, iTunes, Barnes and Noble, and so on.)

I would be more than happy to set you up with a complementary Amazon Kindle copy!

  2. Thank you missams35 for following The Reader and the Book. I appreciate that a lot. I am proud of you for teaching and working in Sylvan. I am a retired teacher of mostly the primary-aged child. I worked at Sylvan back before you were born in the mid-80s and at The Reading Game which was in Tustin, CA.
You say a small town in CA…I am from a big city in CA…San Diego. I was a Navy child so lived many places. The small town I did live in in CA was Norco (near Corona and Riverside).
I tutor now and like that a lot. I work with three kids right now…a 2nd grader and a set of twins going into third. We will start up again in a few weeks as school begins 8/24 here in South Texas.
Take care and keep teaching those kids to read! I love reading the best too!!
