Journey Through the Chamber of Secrets with the Prisoner of Azkaban Review

It had come to my attention while doing the Nintendo Book Tag that I did not do a review on the second and third book of the Harry Potter Series by J. K. Rowling. Since I am listening to the fourth book, I decided to remedy that by giving you the reviews you have been waiting for. Let’s begin.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is about Harry’s Second year at Hogwarts. During this year, a mysterious creature has been let loose and started to attack the students at school. Harry is being blamed for the attacks when people find out that he is parsel mouth, a person who can speak to snakes. In the end, Harry and his friends save the day.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban looks at Harry’s third year at Hogwarts. This is the year that Harry learns a lot about his father and meets some of his fathers friends as well as learned what they did when they were young and at school. We learn about Harry’s god father, as well as the truth about what had happen 12 years ago when his parents got killed.

In a way, both of these book are near and dear to my heart. I started the series with the second half of the second book. I switched school mid school year and my new fifth grade teacher was reading the book. While the third is a personal favorite of mine due to the fact that Harry has finally found a family that loves him. For me it was just great getting to reread the stories from my childhood. I enjoyed reliving the memories of the adventures that we had with Harry and the gang. I was also surprised with how much I have forgotten. I am glad that I am rereading the series.

In the end, I will recommend this series to everyone. I know that you will enjoy the adventure and the fun of going to Hogwarts and learning magic, if you haven’t already done so. As for going back, I do recommend this series as a reread. It is much more fun to reread the series and see what you have missed since the first time that you have read the books.
